        • The key insight for me was that I can pull the sides of the larger plastic piece outwards to allow the smaller piece's "axles" to fit into the larger piece's side-holes.

        • What I found helpful (which he doesn't show in the video) is to get the smaller piece's axles into the larger piece before I put either piece on the keyboard.  That let me use my fingers to pull apart the larger piece instead of needing to use a blade (the way he did it with a box cutter).  Get those two pieces combined and then just press them down onto the keyboard and it's much easier.
