- I saw a picture of a startup founder on a magazine cover and thought: if I'm ever put on a magazine cover I would want to have a photo of the team rather than just myself. Ditto for being a politician.
- On the other hand, you may not want to advertise your team members...you might make it more likely that they'll be pursued by competitors.
- I'm reminded of how Elon was pushed out of the CEO role at his first company to be replaced with someone who had more status, and how that may have led Elon to try to gain mindshare via the media so that that would not happen again.

just pick something that creates unique value that you enjoy making and keep doing that
i got attention but i made a lot of people distrust me for no good reason
the video that got the most attention was my original one where i was just being earnest and humble
and i just showed an overview of the outside world with some cute music overlaid on it
the more clever and awesome i tried to be, the less attention i got
i think sincerity is in short supply and young people can identify it and appreciate it
