Lindybeige - Edinburgh Festival Fringe - the greatest show on Earth?

A terrible dilemma here for the publicizer of a show: Do you put your posters at the top of one of these pillars, where they're almost certain not to be seen, but they will at least last quite a while, because who has a ladder to get up there and remove them (or post over the top)? Or do you put them at eye-height, which is what most people do, so there's a huge bulge in the middle of this [he then taps the column], and you can quite safely punch one of these and you really won't hurt yourself, unless you're very unlucky and hit a staple. But the trouble is, of course, that if you put a poster at this height, someone else is going to come along and put a poster on top of yours very, very soon.
  • I encountered this issue when advertising LSAT tutoring. I think one way to handle this might be to print multiple posters that can be strung together, where the print is larger, so you end up with one giant poster that wraps around the column.
